Unlocking The Hidden Characters Online...

Used to have to do this every time before Moe made the cheat.dat

After a while nobody would even go through the effort.

Nothing in MK was more of a pain in the ass than doing that and then getting a desync, aside from a 360 dpad.

Soon, a guy named "nwo" will release its software for automatic Kombat Kode and Ultimate Kombat Kode input on Kaillera. It will be availlable on http://umk3.remz.ca for download as soon as it's finished. I am currently using its unreleased beta version that works pretty fine. Just come play with me on Kaillera (God Weapon) if you are curious about it.

The program will also do the swaping in multiplayer games!

To unlock the hiddens with that program, you can force the Galaga Kombat Kode at the vs screen. The galaga ends quicly and you can enter the kodes for Mileena Ermac and CSub.

I had a lot of fun recently with Kombat Kodes like "no power bars" or "dark kombat". This is a great tool because the opponent doesn't have to do anything.

This really would be great... now the question I have is, what version of mame will this be compatible with?

Will it be possible for him to write it for the newest Mame PPK?

I'm now testing a new beta and it's really amazing. You can now prevent the other player from messing the kodes and the program is more eye candy. He said he would like to release the first version at the end of the month.

I've talked to him about that option and he said he would sleep on the idea. You would need to press a button to tell the program who won.

For the moment it will only work with the 0.64 version. But he said he would eventually make it works for newer version of mame like 119. At least he said it is possible.

I can say that we are going to play team matches really soon! 2 on 2 explosive in teams will be an awsome way to play umk3. The new beta i'm testing already track the swap numbers automatically. I'll post more info about nwo's program soon.

NWO is currently working hard on adding new features to his program.
We'll need some players (probably later this week) to test the "real 2 on 2 matches" option (Team Matches).
If any of you are interested in helping, please post it on the Official UMK3 Unlocker Thread

I created a page (http://umk3.remz.ca) to host NWO's program and Moe30w's cheats. I want to make theses files easily available for every Kaillera players. Join the forum there if you want to receive future info about nwo's UMK3 Unlocker program. It will be easier to post everyting in the same thread than posting it multiple times on every site.

I think nwo used Visual Basic with "Sendkeys". Rightclick on the unlocker and you'll see Project1 thats used standard with VB.
Or open up Wordpad and click to unlock a character you'll see all kinds of numbers used to swap controlles in mame.
