UMK3 DS glitches and A.I.

Has anybody noticed the AI on the single player mode has been tweaked?? It seems alot smarter with lots of aa-counters, not to mention its super aggressive compared to past versions.

Glitches- Has anyone else found any glitches?

Here are 2 I've had happen to me (offline only):

1. Lost endurance match to C.Sub. He was jump distance away, and poof! did his head rip FAT. wtf?

2. I dont if this can be done on any other version because I never tried it, oh well, correct me if I'm wrong

2. You can infinite Shao Kahn by trapping him in the corner and Run-LP jab him to death. Good stuff.

Thanks guys. On the DS, you can unlock everyones endings, and now that I figured that glitch out, I have 15 of them unlocked since about 4am this morning. Cool beans

I'll do it the old fashioned way :) I enjoy beating the machine with different characters, it gives me a feel for them in a way but interesting trick.

As for glitches I found that some fatalities glitch online, you'll see like a static effect with some like Cyrax's chopper one you'll see a vague line under his feet as he comes down on you chopping you up.

That sounds like how MKT is emulated onto Dreamcast. Lines behind the character, but like all the time! :(

There are a number of graphical glitches here and there, but I don't think the AI is any different. They don't give me any trouble.
 
I dunno if it was done in the original arcade version, but I did a jump kick to CPU Kano in an Endurance match, and when Sonya came in, I did a foot sweep, and Sonya blocks it, but Kano jumps back and then he just straight up jumped in the air like Kung Lao's teleport, only he never returned. I laughed hysterically. That's all that happened to me so far.

wow, this works on everyone in the corner! I havent gotten Motaro caught in the corner, but I'll try.

Best part is that gives combo count & damage. :D

It is the same concept but it looks different.

If you jab rape him in the corner(while he isn't blocking) he constantly walks backwards as if it was pushback, but you don't go anywhere.

I noticed I could get it on a few players online as well.
I don't know if they were just so frustrated(or stupid) that they stopped blocking or if it was unblockable(I'm assuming it was blockable)

Too bad their isn't an easy way to record this thing.
Oh it's blockable...but people (including myself) just have a mind-lapse sometimes and try to get out of it first by either attacking or jumping instead of holding block. I usually figure it out a couple seconds after I'm getting jabbed.

I mean, is this considered broken?

All you'd have to do is either Subbie freeze or Kabal spin somebody near the corner and run-lp jab them to death. Maybe not against another person who will hit the block button, but its an automatic win against the CPU.

Wierd, I never knew about this.

By the time you realized you're being punched on this since it's so fast, you're already hit like 5 times.

Well, I tried this "glitch" on my cab and on the XBL version, and I couldnt do it against any character, including Kahn. Maybe I'm not doing it right, but on the DS, all you do is hold run and tap LP.

I dont own any other version of the game, so I cant speak for those, but it only seems to work on the DS.

In any port of UMK3.

Kahn just stays trapped in the corner blocking like a baby, just keep doing run jabs into him alternating between 1 and 2 punches to not receive pushback. He is helpless from there on.

Kahn is easy anyways most characters get a free combo after his shoulder tackle if you run in. Also once you pop him up most of time you can just keep running in and uppercutting him off the ground.

It pisses me off how difficult the AI in UMK3 is until you get to Motaro. The bosses are a joke.

Yea, alls you have to do is keep crossing over with JPS to autocombo over and over and over.

Or just JK him to death. haha

But Kintaro is pretty easy as well, just Jump at him, and he uppercuts which will miss, then you bring out the JK at the last minute, so easy. Unless you JK right away then you get tagged :)

But if just keep jumping straight up and hitting the autocombo w/ KS, his sweep is worthless.

Motaro is by far the worst sub boss in any game ever.

LOL, that's what I meant! If he keeps doing the sweep as a first attack, that's a free auto combo right there!
