UMK3 Dedicated arcade cab? Control Panel Overlay?

Hey all,

I'm making up an MK arcade stick for my Xbox but was wondering if anyone knows of the exsistance of a UMK3 control panel overlay, or if Midway even shipped dedicated UMK cabs?

I was always under the impression that UMK3 was a simple upgrade kit from MK3, is that right?

Either way, if someone has a high resolution scan of the UMK3 or MK3 overlay you'd be my hero, plus you'll all get to see my stick (ARCADE stick, thank you!).

As far as I know Midway made stick on UMK3 overlays. The reason why Midway did this. Is so arcades could update older versions of MK to newer versions of MK. Without replacing the MK cabinet they already own. eBay is your best bet, or you can just make your own overlay.

Infact I remember when this arcade I use to go to got an MK upgrade. The manager at the arcade hooked me up with some MK dragon logo arcade stickers. To bad I put them on this dual SNES arcade stick I had when I was a kid and then sold it.

IMO I would use one of the UMK3 overlays on this page, or make your own overlay.

Thanks for that, I think I'm going to get working on an overlay based on the MK3 layout, just 'shopped a bit. Never found a UMK3 CPO, that's why I asked if it even existed.

No problem and yes there are dedicated UMK3 machines. I forgot to give you an answer my last post.

Every CP for UMK3 I've ever seen was a MK3 cab before. No different artwork other than the marqee.

Check eBay for the CPO's....there is one on there....cant remember sellers name....

Edit: Sellers name is Caglemoney. 2 sets left. Get 'em while you can....

Hmm, if they made a dedicated UMK3 machine. I would think they would have made UMK3 boards to put in them. I could be wrong.

boards? as in the jamma boards or control panels?
