Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (Zeus Hack edition)

I think some of you might not have knowledge of this UMK3 hack.

It is fully playable in MAME but I tried it out on 133, doesn't work. But it is still playable in older versions it seems...

It hasn't been added as an official MAME clone because of one reason, it isn't known if it was really a hardware EEPROM kit that was distributed or not. Does anyone know more of it's history?

I am 99% sure its a fan hack. I never saw this in an arcade, or anywhere else.

It is, it was tested on a real machine and it worked.

-Moe did tell me that he burned Zeus onto UMK3 romset years ago
-It's a custom rom hack made specifically with dumped roms via MAME
-It was not like, SF2 Rainbow edition, where it actually was in several arcades

-You can just keep two rom sets
Zeus was made in like 2004 specifically because the guys who made it wanted to be able to use H Smoke in 2 on 2

-They should have tried to make Noob and Smoke selectable beneath Kitana and Scorpion, but there might be a rule about addresses on the select screen

-let me see how old my Zeus hack is:
my hack is from 2004; um312u54.bin and 63.bin are the modifed roms, 12/6/2004
So that's the official date I would assume, which means it definitely wasn't circulated

lame shit. noob doesn't have any special abilities at all (as far as i remember) and smoke can be unlocked by a simple button configuration. so, why 2 decent characters were deleted? who knows, who cares.

I can confirm that the Zeus Hack was created by a member over at the a@h forums and was not on the arcade market.
