I mean generally speaking, a corvette is not what people use as a daily driver. Most Vette owners have a different car that they drive on their "daily grind" and use the Vette for nice days/weekends etc. I assume you are familiar with powerful rear wheel drive cars (since you have decided to buy one) and also how poorly they handle in rain/snow etc. Essentially if you live in a location that has all 4 seasons (northeast, midwest, etc) a Vette is a very un-practical car to have as your only means of transportation. Personally I have a fast rear wheel drive car (93 Mazda RX-7 Twin Turbo) but I also have a Mazdaspeed 3 as my daily driver (front wheel drive) so I dont have to rely on my "fun" car to get me where I need to go.

Just my .02

I actually have thought about this aspect, i own an asphalt company here in ohio and during the off season(winter) i would drive my f250 for snow and cold and garage it during those months but rain i dont car about. My passion is cars i know and love rwd sports cars so i think it would be fun, but man i wouldnt mind having an rx7 :)

haha bout to say the same thing
Thanks Roachthroat and Zyos. I got the RX7 as a rolling shell (no motor/tranny/wiring harness) and put it together myself because that is the only way I could afford to buy one haha. I got a steal price on the roller so I couldnt pass it up :)

Thats what i did with my 69 2door hardtop skylark always wanted a muscle car and when i was 17 no way i could afford 1 complete so i bought the shell and restored it. Now that i can afford most cars ive decided shipping this vette to ohio so i can buy it sounds like fun.

And yes i will be driving it to either the fall classic or nec weather will decide lol

Is this Corvette a daily driver? If so, bad choice. Those cars are mainly weekend getaway cars and they serve their purpose pretty damn good.

If I were to buy a daily driver, I would look at stuff like the Nissan Altima, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. All three are great, get good mileage and last a long ass time. I would know. I have a 2003 Accord with 191k miles on it and it's still going strong. Hell, I just came back from a 2300 mile trip from NY to Florida and the car never once crapped out on me. As long as you keep up the maintenance on them, they will last a long time.

yea this will be a daily driver until the winter the car is honestly not that expensive to maintain and mileage isn't that important to me, but my 2012 charger had the v6 and when I went to an new jersey event from ohio I averaged 35 miles to the gallon that was by far my favorite dd. i'd love to have the vette and the charger but that will be in a year or 2.
