A report that seems to be going viral over the last 2 hours consists of the streaming service "Twitch" being bought out by video monster, YouTube (Google). Variety.com has reported that although it is not set in stone yet the likelihood of this deal doing down seem very imminent. This is especially big and surprising news for all players considering Twitch is "the platform" for streaming anything from local tournaments, majors to streaming your gaming session.

"If completed the acquisition would be the most significant in the history of YouTube, which Google acquired in 2006 for $1.65 billion. The impending acquisition comes after longtime Google ad exec Susan Wojcicki was named CEO of YouTube earlier this year."

WAR SEASON "THE WEAK EXPOSED!"
It'll prolly remain the exact same. Don't overreact too much. Who knows we might get more server stability as well. This should be a good thing.

i am so looking forward to google's destroying of the twitch layout and continuing to make it worse, and the addition of Lord Google+ to do anything

When there is no competition, the reigning empire will monopolize the service, as is the case with YouTube and the Google Plus deal: YouTube has no worthy competition, so Google is free to do as it pleases to the userbase.

In the event that Twitch becomes "normalized to a shitter", we should probably start looking for an alternative streaming service.
