transforming d-pad

my frigging pdp stick broke yesterday so i didnt want to let that hold me down so i popped out my xbox pad and went to town....this was the biggest mistake i have ever made. i hate the xbox pad with such a raging passion, it completely destroys my game. i went from winning aboot 8 out of 10 matches to 5 out of 10. i would turn invisible when i was supposed to throw out a force ball, i cant even begin to explain how that happened. luckily i started playing this one dude who suggested this.....
......anyone have this controller and can say its worth getting

i dunno maybe its just me but i dont think its much better instead of random jumps etc wit original d pad this transforming one sometimes nothin happens so instead of say a wake up attack youll stand there and eat another combo its better but not by much i feel its a waste of money

Don't get this. I had one and the raisable part has literally fallen to pieces in just under 2 months of wear and tear. Luckily, the day after it finally gave, I received my etokki converter for the ps 2 pad. Much better investment, in my opinion.

do NOT get this.

It works well for accuracy, but the d-pad popped off in about 3 weeks. Got a replacement from microsoft, and in about a month and a half it happened again.

Yep, I had mine and the dpad fell off as well. Not only that but its actually quite loose. After I used it and went back to the original xbox pad the dpad felt a bit more robust.

Would've been smart if Hori made a nice pad for 360. The pad they put out really isn't necessary for PS3, since that's actually a nice dpad to begin with. In terms of MK, anyways.

Is that controller any good? That Hori thingy.

My controller just broke today, after 3 long, wonderful years. I loved that controller.. day 1 dualshock 3, I felt like the Day ones were of much better quality.. but my dpad broke, along with L2/R2 and my X/Square/O/Triangle will randomly input when I don't press them.

I may have to buy the Hori.. do you know of any keyboard converters for use with MK? I really want a HitBox more than anything but I've been on that waiting list since May I think.

No idea. I just use the Best Buy 2 year replacement plan on my PS3 controllers, they break and I get a new one for about $1. Not too shabby. But yeah, I'm curious about the hitbox myself; I'm sure it'd make Cage's dash 2s effortless. I can do 'em on the PS3 pad, but it takes a little more work.

Unfortunately, I think the Hori pad is only available on Amazon at the moment. If they sold it at Best Buy I'd be all over it. Perhaps if I just used the wired controller strictly for local play (when and if that happens), but I need a beater controller to release my rage when I play online. The bad thing is, the 2 year replacement plan really doesn't encourage me to stop said habit, but bottling up that rage couldn't be good for me. If I buy a stick, I sure as hell am not going to play online with it.

Yeah I figured I wouldn't need the warranty but it wouldn't be applicable anyways as it's been 3 years. I'm thinking about just ordering a XFPS 5 for keyboard use but it's 80-100 dollars just for a converter..nasty..

But it might be worth it :/ I don't know. In regards to the beater controller yeah that's pretty much my deal lol.. I'm complaining to NRS about this.

Ouch, that's a lot of dough...especially if you rage threw it.

I bought that controller cause the d-pad on normal controller sucks hard, and the dpad from the one posted here is awesome.never have the problem anymore that when i press it doenst respond, or when i slide with it that it also sometimes doesnt respond properly and with this grey one its awesome and they should make those d-pads standard on xbox controllers.

I feel like I'm saying this way too much... get a Madcatz pad. And for the OP too. They're $20, sold at Gamestop, and are basically like an Xbox dpad that actually works properly.

I have the Gamestop Black Madcats controller. It was great for a little bit, but recently the buttons get sorta stuck a little and the directional is sorta like the same way, but thats what my controller has been doing. So recently I went to Target and bought me a 20 something dollar MadCats Soft Touch finish and it works wonders. So far no problem with it. :)
