"Okay, here's the deal. That Mortal Kombat video is a proof of concept -- basically a movie pitch -- from the mind of Larnell Stovall. Stovall is a fight choreographer and was part of the stunt team for "Black Dynamite", which probably explains the Michael Jai White connection. Bam."

7 of 9 as Sonya, Gambol as Jackson Briggs, and a certain someone gets slaughtered in the trailer?

This feels like they took the MK plot and ran it through a Twisted Metal filter and then took the characters and ran them through a Dark Knight filter. And those are two things I love.

I am intrigued.

Yeah, it looked pretty sweet. The fight choreography was great, but hopefully the entire cast will consist of actual martial artists... unless Sonya ends up a minor character.

Interesting that they got a Capoeira practitioner for Baraka (the guy, Lateef Crowder, is/has played Eddie in the Tekken movie).
