Tie Round?

Has anyone got this before? It just happened to me for the first time.

Apparently if you get a double KO on the first round, you don't get a match extension. Instead, it goes directly to the 3rd round which is called "Tie Round".

It was completely confusing when it happened to me lol.

Edit: I think this must mean that if you are one round up, you will win with a tie. But what I wonder is if you and your opponent are on the last round, what would happen if you tied...

Happened to me when I found someone idle in a KOTH and I was nice enough to give him a chance get back in time. After that I just thought fuck it and took the last round.

So its a double KO like in street fighter.

Also because I'm vain: the third round isn't called tie round. It's just the notice that you both tied and each of you got a round point.

If you get a double KO on the 2nd or 3rd round, you get a round extension. If it happens in the first round, you jump to the 3rd round.

I agree. It ruins the meter management. If I decided to burn all my meter to win the first round thinking that I can afford to lose the 2nd round and this happens, I'm screwed.

On a side note, congratulations on having a working match replay that doesn't say "Playback data does not agree". I've lost count of how many good replays I've lost on PC to that stupid error message. GG High Voltage

They fixed that with the latest patch a couple of weeks ago.

Do you play on PC? Because I've had numerous replays after the Jason patch (that was the last patch PC users got) that gave me the Playback error message.

Or are you saying they fixed it on consoles

On PC. I used to have that problem before the Jason patch. It got fixed after the Jason patch.

Lucky you. Yeah I specifically remember watching one of my Jason replays where I brutalitied a Sonya, and the playback error hit me halfway through. I'll go back in and check to see if its still as prevalent as it was, but its definitely still there for me
