Throw Escape?

[Legion Quest]

In the on-disc tutorial it says that to escape a throw you only have to press forward punch or kick during the throw animation. I noticed in some of the online strategy guides it says for a normal throw you press back punch or kick and for a forward throw forward punch or kick. Is this right?

One is for back throws and the other is for in front throws.
I believe it's 1 or 3 for front throws and 2 and 4 for back throws. Could be the other way around, though.

Yes. But honestly, if you think someone is gonna throw, I just mash the buttons. Works if I expect a throw.
