I personally would move to Center City or South Philly (Genos!) if I were to move back to the area. West Philly is just a subway ride away. I'd advise anyone to stay the hell away from North Philly though.

Good advice on North Philadelphia.
Terrible advice on Geno's...any place that newspapers or websites blow up as "top ten cheesesteak joints" or whatever, are total tourist traps.
Especially Pats and Genos.

People who grew up in Philadelphia, who really are cheesesteak fans...they go to lunch carts or Pizza places for cheesesteaks.
Lunch trucks are like, $4 for an amazing tasting cheesesteak. It's not going to be overflowing with meat, but it's going to be a 10 inch long delicious top tier sandwich that they make in less than five minutes.
It's amazing price vs. value.

No one who grew in Philadelphia gets cheese whiz either, that's actually something we traditionally use to make fun of tourists behind their backs.

PimpUigi, I am looking for anywhere within an hour driving distance to salty Fridays and vsm thursday, preferably closer to one so i only have to make an hour drive once a week haha.

Yes I am dedicated I want to get up there with all of the tops, but the people i play with just complain, instead of learning ways around stuff they just say that's not fair.
