There must be new features, I don't want the game like, just players and arenas then fight ..
I really would like new and many features in there, like ..
1. Deception: there were puzzle and chess modes.
2. Armageddon: there were Kreate-A-Fighter and motor kombat modes.
3. There must be always the Krypt mode.

so I do need new feature or at least those features.

The rest is just fluff I whish they would ignore all that stuff. And focus on gameplay. I have no need to play tetris og mario kart in a fighting game.

And Kypt mode is just a waste of time.

Agreed with Icestad. Biggest problem with the 3D MKs is that they relied too much on gimmicks. Aeriel kombat, deathtraps, side games...sucked. Make a decent game instead.

I pray for no new pointless and useless features.....I hope the guys use this memory,time,money and labor to create a better game...I have to admit that Motor Kombat is 1000 times better than the actual Armageddon game.

This is exactly what i DONT want. Deception and Armageddon were two of the worst MK games ever made. They were both terrible,broken,glitch riddled nonsense. And all the chess kombats,konquest modes,Krypts, and motor kombats in the world couldnt hide the fact that those games were ass.
The focus for MK9 should be on making the game itself good. If Boon and team have any hopes for MK9 to ressurect the franchise like SF4 did for capcom, the best thing they could do is worry soley about making the game good. I want great, but Il settle for good.

Number two was confirmed by Boon that its not going to be in MK9. One and three are lame. I'd rather them put effort into putting in UMK3 or Trilogy. I got to challenge someone online with Rain (and I think I heard Boon talk about putting it in MK9 but perhaps he was joking.) But, Boon did say there were going to be secrets in the game just like from MK-MK3. We all know it can't be krypt mode or puzzle kombat. Boon would probably focus on the combination locks(?) hidden retro games(?) secret characters and perhaps a cheats option menu who knows lol. And I agree, of them all I hope they focus on just the game- the gameplay and all. If you want krypt mode and chess games and kreate a fighter go play armageddon and or deception.

I'd murder to pick up this game instantly if it also came with online playable MK1-MK2-UMK3-Trilogy and to a lesser extent MK4. I'd do backflips even if it was just one of them but if it were all I'd explode in my pants

Motor Kombat and Konquest modes I have to say were a lot of fun, 10x more fun then the other modes in any other fighting game...and KAK was cool I thought.

But that aside, I think the extra modes this time around are revolving more around the gameplay like TT mode, more online modes with multiplayer like up to 8 round robin style, respect points, cheap points votes that other players(spectators can vote), DLC is really cool...and they haven't even revealed everything online yet..so I think this games extra modes, features will be very good :)

I have a novel idea for a new "feature" involving any MK with 3d graphics...

how about... Good Gameplay?

Even though MKDC wasn't that bad(oh wait...I forgot where I was...) anywho...

The game was already confirmed to play 2D so that's good enough for most fans, besides we all know there was nothing "novel" about MK4 *wink wink* lol

If that piece of shit game was any good, it wouldnt just be getting love from the butthurt 3d MK fan sites. It doesnt get it anywhere because it sucked. Thats a fact. MK9 is close to a year away and has already gotten a better reception and hardly anyone has played it. Get over it.

This has been worked out, I spoke to Phil personally about it and was a bit of a misunderstanding...I don't get what the photo is supposed to mean but whatever lol.

On topic:

I don't know if anyone brought this up but, I can't wait for the mic version of this game. Did Boon say there would be mic support for MK9? I mean it looks certain that it is. Imagine all the trash talking there would be on the PS3/MK9 servers, LOL. And I only brought this up because in my opinion, we haven't had mic support for the Mortal Kombat series for PS3 in a looong time. I can't speak for MKvsDCU because I never played it. This should definitely be a "new" feature in MK9. Thoughts, correct me if I'm wrong etc.

MKvsDC did have mic support. For 360 at least most players seemed to be on mics with the usual trash talking. There wasn't any talking in lobbies literally just between the two players in a match.

I thought boon did say something along the lines of "you'll be able to cheer and discuss as a spectator while watching people play". He said it at the same sorta time as when he was talking about being able to give the repect points or whatever they are called.

Jesse, I don't know who you are but please don't comment on something you have no knowledge of. That situation was cleared up so no need to try to start something thanks ;)

And like Icey covered MKDC did have support for mic via 360....this is old news however, MK9 will be no different. In fact all xbox games have the mic support...since Xbox one. The lobby system in MKDC was good but I definitely think they can expand on that via MK9 :) I'm hoping we see some kind of voting system like a gambling and more room options no doubt.

Boon already confirmed the 2 on 2 tag team online with 2 people on one xbox, vs. 2 on another which is cool. The tag team online via one on one, 4 players, an up to 8 players via round robin style with a voting system via respect points or cheesy points that the other spectators(players waiting to play) can vote on :)
