The Official "I Wanna Stream/Make Videos Too! What do I do???" Thread

-Deadman-

Getting better with age
I'm sure I'm not the only person sitting in their computer chair watching a tourney stream, OBS episode, or the newest
Mayo video, and thinking to myself "HEY! I play this game, I wanna contribute too!". I'm also sure I'm not the only one
who has absolutely no clue as to how to start this project.

I've looked at videos, threads, etc, to try and gain some insight on what the best way to go about this is, but I'm not finding
all that much help. So why not ask those who are doing this successfully how they work their magic. So if anyone has a few
moments and wants to help out, please feel free to post your findings or send me a message and I'll keep updating the thread with the content provided.

I've personally wanted to create a "Warrior's Path" style series, recording me picking up a character for the first time, and moving forward, posting all the fights I can, win or lose. That way I can get feedback from others, learn from my mistakes, and grow as a player.

If I can get some practice in now with recording, hopefully I'll be able to start this project day one when Injustice drops.

Haupauge HDPVR works great and is very portable, affordable

depends how really in depth and crazy you want to get with your project, or what you want to do,

Streaming requires an decent Computer (laptops work) and a good internet connection obviously, if your just making videos, then you'll need some editing software.

depends what you want to do,

My work is actually pretty low tech. I don't have a capture card, just a cheap $125 "HD" camera from a mexican grocery store. But I make it work. Here's a walkthrough of my process.

I use Adobe Premiere CS3
And all my audio is recorded with a Shure SM58 vocal microphone through an M-Audio Mobile-Pre Soundcard.
My vocal editing is done with Ableton Live 7.0
