nice, too bad I was too young to understand anything in the game to enjoy this. I was such a spammer with the spears and rain lightning moves lol, remember beating shao khan with the liu kang low fireball spam lol

Oh wow, I didn't know Johnny Cage wasn't gonna be in MK Trilogy, I guess Midway were really salty about what Daniel Pesina did if they were still prepared to bring Baraka and Raiden back but not Cage, and it's ironic that Cage "replaced" Sub-Zero since his unmasked incarnation wouldn't even exist in the first place had it not been for the Bloodstorm incident, in a way, Unmasked Sub replaced him. Major props to all the research MKSecrets has put into this series.

Oh and by the way, I lol'd at the Noob being overpowered bit, but come on, UMK3 is broken too, Kung Lao is ranked in the top 3 in that game solely because of his "spinfinites", Trilogy was more popular than UMK3 in terms of mainstream exposure (i.e. the people that don't give two shits about a tier list), and essentially the MK3 series of games on a whole weren't as popular as MKII due to Midway's silly "no Pesina characters" policy in vanilla MK3 that left a bad taste in everyone's mouths and didn't bother to give Ultimate a chance.

Make no mistake though, I still prefer UMK3 to MKT, just being realistic.

They completly raped and perverted the MK universe/franichise that came out of his head, to line their pockets with every little penny they could possibly squeeze out of it.

Lol. Didn't mean to come across like that, and I could've worded a few things better (I didn't literally mean "everybody" was sore about MK3's roster, Christ), but there has been undeniable speculation on how MK3 would've turned out had it not been for Daniel Pesina getting fired, which, ded_ himself has even questioned on some of his own work on MKSecrets.net. I was speculating whether to make a separate thread on the matter, but I'm not sure if TYM really has the right demographic to go in-depth about it.

I don't mean to speak for myself here, but I seriously didn't even know UMK3 existed until Microsoft announced it was coming to XBLA in 2006, (MK3 on the other hand, was one of the first games we picked up for the original PlayStation), it wasn't really released on any platforms that were in high demand at the time. Trilogy on the other hand was, and another game I didn't have, but at least had heard about and played.

And nah, there's definitely an old-school MK following here (yourself included Tim), but even then I only see talk about actual matchmaking/competitive play xD
