The Greatest Comeback in the History of Killer Instinct, from Evolution 2015.

I know TYM isn't exactly receptive of Killer Instinct, but nevertheless, this needs to be shared.

As ShinTristan correctly describes, we bore witness to the greatest comeback ever made in the history of the game, at Evolution 2015's Top 8 for the game. This occurred during the match between UA MyGod (Sabrewulf) and Sleep NS (Kan-Ra), and is definitely worth the watch.

You might point out the mistakes made that allowed for Sleep to get the momentum he needed, but ultimately, the heat of the moment is hotter than you may think. ANYTHING is possible.

I'm platinum mad!
Every year I watch all the Evo finals and I gotta say this is one of my favorite moments from this year.

Doesn't matter if it was someone as good a My God, that's what happens to anyone in that position when you play with your food.
Much respect to Sleep for running that back xD

Why the fuck did he do this bro he give up money and a cool stick :(
With Kan-Ra at literally only 1% health and at full-screen, if MyGod did nothing but block, he'd have timed out Sleep and won. You could see that he knew this as well, but the reason his approach didn't work is because he cracked. He jumped in two occasions where he never needed to.

My suspicion in that decision-making would be that he was fearing Kan-Ra's command grab, which is understandable, but with how those scarabs were being positioned, chances are that he'd be stuck in blockstun instead. Command grabs cannot hit you if you are in blockstun.

EDIT: From watching that again, when MyGod dashed up twice and did the Shadow DP, I think that was where he blew the game. Shadow Leaping Slash would have closed it out, stopping Sleep's comeback cold.

I didn't realize you can do that sand breath thing so many times in a row. It kinda killed the hype for me. Still very impressive though. That's like babying MK9 Mileena. Things you typically just can't do.

I hope MyGod can bounce back from this because I know if this was me, I would be scarred for life. I also think the pressure from the audience did not help with the boos and jeers but I guess that is the tournament setting.

haha i saw that, it was ridiculous, but also mygods own fault. as the commentator
said, he wanted to prove a Point, while he should have p2w.

Lol I thought the NRS scene was bad for booing Tanya. They actually booed My God for just sitting and blocking?

Lol

As awesome as this is, it is stupid. Why would a rushdown charcter risk turtling when he has a lifelead is beyond me. It was just bad play.

I don't think the people saying MyGod played stupidly really understand the dynamics of this matchup.

My God actually would have won with a Shadow Leaping Slash instead of Shadow Eclipse. He had it, just did the wrong move.

That room had more than just the KI scene in there, and I saw no KI players booing MyGod for his tactics. -_-

The only guy in this thread who gets it. THANK you.

I should have said Leaping Slash and not Ragged Edge, so editing my post now.

The Evo audience is weird - you see stuff like playing lame get booed (this match) and stuff like infinites (2013 smash ice climbers) get cheered.

I wish MyGod had held down back with one hand and flipped off the audience with the other.
