I WILL EAT THIS GAME
I woke up this morning and discovered that GOW4 is all but definitely happening.

This, next to MK9, is my game. My favorite. My shiznit. I love it to pieces.
And I would imagine I'm not alone in this boat of gray and red awesomeness.
So let's talk, people.
Theories, ideas, possibilities, mechanics, weapons, magic, locations (The Parthenon, a return to Athens, plenty of places to go), characters, alliances, anything you think you'll see/would love to see...I'm all for daydreaming of bloodshed right now. Join me.

Where we are now: Everybody's dead.
Other than whatever few obscure Greek gods Kratos didn't sink his blades into (Aphrodite, the Gravedigger and Athena V.2, specifically), the whole lot is dead as the day is long.
Earth is a mess.
The vast majority of Hades' occupants have been set free.
Olympus is no more.
The Titans are no more.
And for whatever peculiar reason, Kratos' body has either vanished into thin air, or been taken into the sea.

Now...mine and my brother's theory goes to the beginning of GOW3 and the battle with Poseidon.
You can assume he's dead, sure...but he's also a God. And we both reached the conclusion that in the situation they were in, SOMEBODY had to have come up with a backup plan in the event Kratos' wrath really did put an end to everything.
So our vote is when he sunk back into the sea, he was either revived or transcended ala Athena/via an alliance with Athena, sunk into his sunken Atlantis, and waited until everyone was dead to hatch his plan and snatch dead Kratos.
But we could be completely and utterly wrong...

Thoughts, TYM? Let's make our imaginations sizzle.
This game is gonna fucking rule.

While GOW is an OK game it was pretty off as far as the actual mythology goes. There are still a ton of gods, though not as a major, and a ton of epic heroes to deal with.

if you didn't like like the game for the mythological inaccuracy, you clearly missed the point of it.

The game play was subpar as well, doesn't change the fact that it's a hot mess when it comes to accuracy.
gameplay is a matter of opinion I won't argue that but the mythology wasn't supposed to be accurate, it was supposed to be all ducked up. That's what made the story so incredible, originality.
