NERF Everything, LEAVE Nothing
you are but the only one upon this husk of a world that has heard the legendary sounds that echo from within the walls of the D'n'B empire

The UK has all the D'n'B too by the looks of it. America has Evol Intent though, they're pretty good :D Germans and Russians have some dark producers like Current Value and Idoleast.

Cmon guys this is a DnB thread, leave Dubstep (the bastard child) out of this :p

Just realized what this thread is about.
Fail.
I love D'n'B, some dubstep, but very limited. I hate people that consider Deadmau5 dubstep, and/or only listen to Skirllex.
Also, I love chiptune..

Pendulum is DnBs equal to Skrillex. Weak example of what the genre truly is.

Who do you listen 2 though?

Dom and Rolands new album is soo soooo evil, been digging up some of the stuff I've listened to for the past 10 odd years by Moving Fusion and the Shy FX label n shit.

Thats the best part about Dnb though IMO, its still truly underground because all of the commercial DnB dont seem to be going anywhere, but the commercial dubstep is killing the genre. Same thing happened to garage (it sucked anyway).

yess, Pendulum all the way though. To cover artists I listen to in general, relating to anything techno, dubstep, dnb, or chiptune
Pendulum, Rusko, Deadmau5, Beta Club Field Trip, Tragic Thoughts(friend of mine), RJD2, Angerfist, a number of DJs. Too many people to cover xD

I've seen pendulum live, sorry to dissapoint you f0xy. Seriously though, my music tastes are incredibly vague, I'll listen to anything that isn't metal. Prodigy are probably my favourite band at the moment, and I reckon they're just a smidgen away from being DnB (I'm sure most would disagree though).

Also from what I've heard, I prefer liquid to dark.

I agree with Omega, liquid over dark for me.
Also, share as many artists as possible I need some new shit.

If you like the gentle DnB try some of these:

Klute - Hell hath no fury
Calibre - What I Feel
NuTone - In the lonely hour
Logistics - Together
Seba & Paradox - Last goodbye
Lenzman - Open Page
High Contrast - Yesterdays Colours
London Elektricity - This Dark Matter
Carl Matthes - Never away
Muffler - Roll with you

Theres a couple bangers off the top of my head 4 ya

How can I tell I'm old? Both the songs sound virtually identical to me, and I'd describe both of them as "Techno".

Both techno and dnb fall under the genre of electronic music. Techno is a sub genre, it's a common mistake to say techno is the umbrella term.

For example, let's relate electronic and rock. Both have lots of sub-genres. Rock has punk, alt, indie, hardcore, grunge, pop, etc. Metal has metalcore, deathcore, thrash metal, alternative, etc. Electronic has house, techno, dnb, dubstep, trance, happy hardcore, hardstyle, etc.

Foxy don't forget artificial intelligence, fabio&grooverider, chase n status. My music taste make me feel as if I should be in the U.K dnb, dubstep and dancehall

I used to be a massive dnb head and anything ltj bukem put out. Then seemed to land on dj shadow or pretty much anything under the ninjatune label, blackalicious, herbaliser etc. Good times...

EX Ovi should launch
Jungle/Jump up style is pretty much the most part of what i listen to. Dubstep is probably going to be forgotten about in a couple of years, just like garage came and went (not that it was anything to phone home about) and no dubstep has really shone out to me since emalkay brought out "when i look at you" like years back...

Cant get enough of the glitch genre atm though, some stuff that would be considered almost hip hop to older generations, but dubstep to younger, produces such a chilled out and easy vibe! Check out some stuff like this (probably going to be a genre debate on it but who cares at the end of the day)
