They are more like KI ultimates... They should have been at least 12hits.

They shouldn't had done Brutalities, they just ruined the nostalgia factor about them.


Edit: MKX Brutalities are cool but they are just not brutalities. They should had called it differently tbh.

Bullshit. I love them. It's a flashy way to end combos and it's awesome. Would you prefer a bunch of shitty strung together attacks and then the opponent exploding in 100 rib cages?

I think they're cool and they just said there's over 100. I'm really happy with what they did with them.

My only hope is that there is a way to NOT do them if you don't want to. Like....I don't want them to be automatic by simply ending a round with a certain move.

It's perfect because it's something to add a little hype to the match without disrupting the flow. If they did this for every special move(or every meter burnable move?) it gives a ton of variety without just being a copy past combo.

I am disappointed because Brutalities were so satisfying to me back in the day not because of aesthetics, but because it was so neat to just go ham on your opponent. It wasn't "flashy" in the sense that your head became a helicopter blade and chopped your opponent to pieces or you became a dragon and ate them, but it was brutal. Just quickfire punches and kicks (12 of them being inputted quickly by the user) and them "boom," explosion. That's what I was hoping was being recreated.

That being said, I don't hate these necessarily, but I don't see what really sets them apart from fatalities. Really the name is the only thing that bothers me. I think they should have called it something different is all.
 
I was dissapointed until I heard there where over a 100 of them. And some of them are variation specific. People have asked for variation X-rays/fatalities and now we kinda have that.

And some of them are hilarious/amazing. Like the Raiden/Quan Chi/D'vorah chestbug ones. Oh and the fact that you can end combo's with brutalities makes them even cooler imho.

Brutalities had potential to be cool. Look at KI3 ultras? We werent asking for 100hits combos. 12-20 hits should had been fine. Now they are basically fatals. More like ultimates which sucks.

They can be like 12 hits...but they didn't show them. You can do a Brutality at the end of a big combo and make them like the finishers of old WITH OUT THE FATALITY STATE (!).

I do agree they could have shown them better though. It would have been nice have gotten a better explanation of how they work, or to have seen some brutalities at the end of combo in a more natural way.

Edit: I just saw the end of the stream, and the way they did the Brutalities at the end of their "official" matches were pretty cool...though I still have no clue HOW they were doing them.

These are way more likely to be done in tournaments then any other kind of ality... And will be hype as fuck... Plus over 100 means some will be harder to do and such so when someone pops them off its really a pop off....
So much this. At the very least, that awful, terrible, stupid move your character has just became an even better way to end a match.
