Should Sun Ray hit the corner position like Erron Black clatrops? Or do you think the way it works now... as on off screen or on you is the way to go?

Is there any sneaky way like say in mid combo to put a sun ray into the corner position?

There are ways to combo into Sun Ray in the corner and still maintain pressure. It's truly glorious. lol
