"This will be the only disc you'll ever need to own and we'll no longer charge for balance updates" - 9.55. Thank fuck because the previous patching style sucked ass. Also:

"We're rewarding players that play the game so if you're dedicated and continuously play the game on/offline, you'll be able to generate 'Fight Money' and use that to earn new content post-launch for the first time ever in the franchise".

If done right this could be sick. It better not be something stupid like play 1000 games and win a new win-pose for Ryu. But overall Capcom seems to be heading in the right direction. I'm so hype for this game now so they'd better not fuck it up.

Old news, this was all confirmed at Evo.
Also, speaking of patching, if you head to 39 minutes in, they indirectly address MKX's hotfixes. Saying that they will not be patching the game in the same was that NRS has been MKX.

If something similar to the Tanya situation happens, don't expect nerfs. Capcom wants players to explore the meta and developed their own tech.

"Players need time to explore the game, and the meta always changes. Something that might be overpowered at the beginning, may not be overpowered 2 weeks later, 3 weeks later, when people figure out a counter."
