GGA Jeremiah: Stock skyrocketed. America's Sweetheart has become the harbinger of our doom body splashing his way into a tournament win. Jeremiah is living proof karma exists because after 2 years of Sheeva he's been given Doomsday and it's the only way to explain how ridiculous "Doomie" is. On a side note can we stop pretending this is Doomsday maxed out and when he is "figured out" he will magically drop into Kano tier? As if the Doomsday players won't level up too. Like if you think Jeremiah's Doomie is good now wait until he actually starts doing combos.
GGA Pimpimjim: Stock up. Officially becomes part of Team GGA on Thursday then places top 8 in both MK and Injustice Saturday. With PPJ on the team everyone can stop blowing us up for being super white(it's not our fault Medina died). On twitter CD Jr disrespectfully referred to PPJ as "that Raven player". He has a name, it's PPJ. Or you can call him "Sektor of America".
GGA HAN: Stock up. BIG PETE! HAN has finally overcome his stigma as "that guy who is a great training partner for top players but can't deliver in tournament" and it's awesome. I doubt there's anyone else in the scene right now who cares more about leveling up in MK than HAN so it's great to see the hard work payoff. Even though I was rooting for HAN to win MK I do have to point out the poetic justice of habitual reset downplayer HAN's loses being to Smoke and another Cyrax.
GGA Soonk: Stock up. Top 8 winners in both games. Highest placing Superman in a tournament full of Supermen. Only slight knock against Soonk's stock this weekend was his performance against Maxter where I believe he set the all time record for dropped combos. As always I'm sure he was ranting and raving about the monitor lag. It's fitting I suppose, Superman has kryptonite and Soonk has bog and laggy monitors.
Winter Warz: NO PROPS.
Maxter: Stock neutral. Looked very questionable in MK. I think he forgot about the block button and how to do combos. However, it's understandable considering he's playing another game and even an out of practice Maxter can still place in the top 8. Good showing in Injustice getting top 3 with Catwoman. While I'm tempted to lower his stock since he didn't live up to the usual Maxter expectations I can't be too harsh considering the circumstances. The last time Maxter was slipping in the summer of 2012 he went on to get top 3 at like 4 tournaments in a row. So I'll compromise on stock neutral. It is worth noting that PPJ is now his master, having beaten him 3 times this one tournament.
Matter Over Mind & Domchalant: Stock up. Props to these guys for their upsets over top players in MK. I had never heard of Dom before this so that was pretty crazy when I heard he beat Death off stream. Special shout out to MOM for giving me a new reason to blow up Young Wafflez. Nice job being a Smoke training partner, Tommy. You really helped Pete with that MU didn't you? It's obviously your fault MOM beat HAN in pools.
Death: Stock down. Now officially washed up. Since downplaying Superman at the beginning Death has been blown up daily on TYM. It's what he's most famous for now. Death really needed a strong showing here and unfortunately he failed to place top 8 in either game. First getting his back blown out by HAN in MK then...getting his back blown out by HAN in Injustice.
