Starting match with low health

While I've never had this problem, a friend of mine would every now and then start a game with less than 50% (around 25% probably), health. This happened in two games he played against me in a private match online and he also told me it happened to him in a ranked match.

I've never seen anybody else have this problem, so I am thinking it's something unique to him but I just wondered what the cause of it could be?

Happened to me once and had it happen to an opponent twice. I think its just a secret code in that code input thing. Doubt it would happen in a ranked match.

I would laugh if he was doing it to himself unintentionally, but I don't think so.

Does he randomly blim-blam with the kombat kodes?

Player 1 Half Health: 110-000
Player 1 Quarter Health: 220-000
Player 2 Half Health: 000-110
Player 2 Quarter Health: 000-220

Im guessing it's a random blim blam of kodes while waiting on the loading-screen.

Player 1 Half Health 220-000
Player 2 Half Health 000-110
Player 1 Quarter Health 110-000
Player 2 Quarter Health 000-110

Really easy to put in by accident if you just mash some buttons before the match starts. Whoops...

I think you have it wrong too. 110 is half health, 220 is quarter.

Its a vs code you purposely enter. Its to give yourself a handicap if you're playing a friend that's not so good.

He's doing it intentionally to sandbag you. He's not your friend.
