so as anyone who has even watched someone play MKX know that rush down and 50-50 pressure are defining characteristics of the game, largely due to the run mechanic new to this game. The run mechanic is inarguably a huge reason for this. It also has made zoning much harder to pull off and win with consistently. I believe that if the stages were about 30% larger (or more just throwing out numbers here) it would drastically help to build a balance between an in your face play style and zoning tactics. Thoughts?

Add a universal MB backdash to the game which doubles the backdash distance (and invulnerability frames?) for one bar of meter and one bar of stamina.

That would be hella interesting.

That'd be cool too. With extended stages one would have to use more stamina, armored moves to simply advance, and be a lot more patient and tactical.
