So, where do I go to learn Cyrax?

Everything seems pretty spread out here.

Official combo thread doesn't have any current bnbs listed.

A up to date general discussion thread/Q&A thread as well as a combo thread would be nice.

Link to current bnbs? Bomb setup advice as well as general character advice is welcome as well.

Good stuff, but where exactly are the notations for the combos in that video? I see the damage listed as well as the meter use but no inputs at all.

ah my bad i assumed tony had written them up, label the ones you want the inputs for and ill tell you.

Hey everyone. I didn't want to make a new thread in here, so I figured this could be a good spot to randomly ask...

I want to learn Cyrax - the matchup! I'm a mid-level Ermac looking for a mid-level Cyrax who would be interested in playing a nice set. Maybe an hour worth of matches? I have almost zero experience against a competent Cyrax player and would love to find someone who could play.

I'm east coast (Philadelphia) and I have a good internet connection. I'm free both tonight and tomorrow after 7:00 PM. Anyone here interested in an Ermac/Cyrax set?

That'd be cool, have no idea how the combos differ though. Still have to read through that cyblax thread.

If anyone can write out the notations for this 75% Cyrax combo in this thread I'd really appreciate it. I can't tell what is going on. Looks like a 213 into a far bomb but what happens after that? If it's not practical that's cool, I can do the 65% pretty consistently.

Also, what do you do after the Yank or command grab, whatever you call it to make it do the punches? Is there even a reason to use it anymore?

Lastly, if you get an anti air net or someone bounces off a bomb what are some good options, meterless and with meter? I'm unsure of how to get big damage off those situations.

there is a BIG use for the command grab, b1212, once youve landed it you have a mixup situation then and there, you can get a safe jump from it (not sure if its guaranteed as sometimes they manage to jump out), a dash forward for guaranteed chip damage, ending strings early on block to maybe set up for another one, hit confirming into a net combo if they dont block trying to jump or fight back, d4 into a dash or canceled to s special, there is SO much you can get off it. :)

Well cyblax combos have a tighter window of execution, the slightest delay can mess up your combos. But, other than cyblax has an easy %71 corner combo.

and if you want any strategies i reccomend watching cyrax tournament play, or spending time in the lab yourself and see if you come up with anything that works for you.

all his high damage reset combos can be seen and explained best in this video, inputs are in the annotations.

Since TYM changed layouts, it would seem that the links are dead >.< I'm looking to switch from shang to cyrax, so I have 2 competent chars. More or less what I've been doing is cut pasting info from various posts in the cyrax forum. Putting them all in a txt document to organize later.

Other people may want to do the same. If there is a good guide writer, maybe someone would want to compile a good guide for everyone here in the Cyrax forum? I would... but I am just starting on rax, and I am poor at writing guides >.<
