Question - Kenshi So now that the buffs have been out...

How strong are we feeling balanced Kenshi is. How is he doing against the perceived top tiers. I've heard a ton of mixed reviews on him. Some people think he's top 10 and some people think he's bad still and incredibley overrated after his buffs. I saw pig struggle vs scorpion and djt struggle vs mileena at yomi last night. I don't know what to think. What is everyone's opinion?

I have had much more success with him online and in locals since the buff. I do feel he is a different character entirely.

He's super extremely good now. Top 10 maybe a little too soon to tell but definitely a top 15.

I just wished he was more fun because all it is is more zoning and trying to do the same combo pretty much and repeat. Like really easy.

well you can play kenjutsu or possessed if you want. they are just as good.

Possessed I don't think is that great it did get a little buff. Kenjustsu is good and hard but I feel awkward with him and I really like kenshi for his moves in balanced because the moves look cool like they did in mk9.

fair enough dude, although i personally think possessed is just as strong as balanced, and that it is purely a preference thing, hell the reason it took me so long to pick up possessed was because sento is broken in that variation, and i am just like

~M2Dave voice~ Kenshi would be a great character in a varied, balanced fighter, but this is MKX we're talking about, and this game limits zoners and defensive play by nature, so Kenshi is still mediocre, except for Kenjustsu, as he has some form of 50/50 combo starters.

Balanced Kenshi? I doubt one buff to his tele furry is gonna take him from low to top. I think prople are over excited to the buffs which were mostly to kenjutsu.

telepush got buffed as well, his pokes got buffed, it may not seem like much but it was in my opinion pretty much everything i wanted from a kenshi buff.

It was all Kenshi really needed. Just a couple of tweaks to frame data and now he's pretty damn strong

Me vs MIT was all me not Kenshi

I best his scorpion pre patch a week ago

I played poorly Tuesday and didn't punish three blocked teleports

That was a pig problem but a Kenshi one

you are sincerely underestimating him, there are only a few match ups that stayed bad, I would say his only bad ones now are scorpion and raiden, and even then those are still overcomable, his pokes are much faster and more effective, he hardly has "t-rex normals" considering how insane his B1 range is and how his D4 is still very solid, anything outside his range he has specials to take care of that. I understand your skepticism but i really do think that these changes made him top ten, hell his main problem for me has always been how insanely negative his telefury was. If he was given anything else balanced would be broken as fuck, like a good overhead starter for example, that would be too much. I think that he is perfect as is right now and easily top 10.

Not a major but still heavy competition.

Also, since when did character representation dictate how good a character is? Tell me how many Batgirl's placed besides Sonicfox.

one question: why in recent buffs (hotfix) kenshi's d3 wasn't change from mid- to low. is this supposed to be like this? I thought that this was a bug and that it would be addressed over time. Who else has mid instead of low on d3?
