Ok Ive been searching around for a solid explanation....but with no avail.

Can anyone explain what fuzzy blocks are? and "whiff" anything!?

Thanks for any light you might be able to shed on this ( what I believe) is pretty common knowledge

Whiff means when you input a normal, combo, or special and completely miss it. Leaving your opponent free to capitalize on your mistake. That will mostly be referred to as whiff punishing.

Fuzzy blocks are when you guard a low standing high or guard a high whilst crouching. That means you've made your movement for your block at the last possible frames.

Ill give this a try.

Whiff (anything)--if someone was to go through the animation of a combo string w.o making any contact with your character, ergo no block/hitstun.

Fuzzy blocking--blocking high even though you were originally blocking low or vice versa. Pretty much changing youre blocking pattern so quickly on reaction sometimes your animation wont even change from standing or crouching.

Hope this helped.
