Strategy Sindel Meter Building Data

Aidan

The Marvelous Meter Man
This is a continuation of my Meter Building project for all of the characters. Check out the General Meter Building Data Information.

For blocked normals and specials, they all build 8.996212121% (for simplicity 8.996%) of meter per hit. So if you hit someone with 111 on block you build 26.988% because they were hit by 3 normals.

For blocked specials, you build meter on the initial use of the special and the extra meter because it was blocked. For example, if you use Fireball you build the initial 3.725% of meter, but if it hits a blocking opponent then you add 8.996% which results in 12.722% of meter build.

This applies to all characters so Cyrax or Kabal for example build the same 8.996% on block.

There is no initial gain from EX attacks.
You also build meter by taking damage.
It takes 48% damage to build one bar.
This general information will tell you specifically how much build by the amount of damage you take.
You don't build meter when taking block chip damage.
Now for Sindel's data:

Fireball (high, low. air)
Whiffed or Hit Fireball - 3.725%, takes 26.83 for 1 bar
Blocked Fireball - 12.722%, takes 7.86 for 1 bar
Blocked EX Fireball - 8.996%, takes 11.11 for 1 bar
Blocked EX Air Fireball - 8.996% - 17.992% depending on if 1 or 2 Fireballs are blocked, takes 11.11 for 1 blocked and 5.55 for 2 blocked to fill one bar

Yell
Whiffed or Hit Yell - 5.989%, takes 16.69 for 1 bar
Blocked Yell - 14.985%, takes 6.67 for 1 bar

b3f2 - 17.992%, takes 5.55 for 1 bar
44u3 - 17.992%, takes 5.55 for 1 bar*
* if 44 are blocked then u3 won't come out, so you only get the meter build from 44.

If you fight someone whom you can zone out pretty easily, you're always going to have meter from all the zoning + chip damage.

But good thread too :)

The numbers aren't 100%! lol

When it says it builds 1 meter it's actually either 1.05 or 1.1 meter.

I did it for CSZ a month ago and there's a video there that shows everything so you might wanna double check.

Sindel always has meter though since her strings are like 7 hits and she is always getting meter off of blocked fireballs.

Cock Master!!
Very nice I'll sticky this later and also add it to the main post in the sindel general
thread.

Thank you

That's why I say that if you hit someone with 2 for example, if you hit them with it 6 times it will build slightly more than 1 bar. That's why the numbers are like 5.55 etc. because I do: 100 (which is the total percentage for 1 meter) divided by 17.998 (which is how much meter is built by a blocked 2) and the answer is roughly 5.55 for an EXACT meter build of 100%, but yes 6 of them will give you about 1.05 or 1.1. Also, these numbers are for basic strings and specials, these number are the basic tools to finding out how to perfect your meter build. For more complex combos you have to do the math yourself.

Yeah I get what you mean. I'm just picking at straws though. Still a good source of info though. I doubt the .5 percent difference will cost a tournament.

You're absolutely correct that .5 makes no difference, but it's just for the sake of depth. You can think about it this way, let's just say you get those 5 blocked 2's but then you hit the sixth so your short of 1 bar. Then you can take the data from here to make up the difference the most effective way possible. Like I said this is just the tools for mastering you meter game! :)

11b24close fb is good but can't be used repeatedly. the 4 is easily ducked and any character can punish it. it works a lot cuz people aren't ready for it or are respecting 11b2 close fb too much. gotta get those levi cancel block strings down. I usually throw it in after levi cancel pressure. i either use it or 111stepup (not against sektor reptile or kunglao) they punish to easily. I use NW against those characters anyway lol I really just throw a lot of fbs and do 44fb a lot
