Similar Characters as Alternate Costumes

I understand that this an unreasonable request for NRS to fulfill, but it's still a pretty cool idea to discuss.

Examples:
Goro- Sheeva
Sub-Zero- Frost
Takeda- Fox
Kitana- Jade

What would you guys like to see?

I've been saying this forever, it should be done. Some are a bit of a reach, but stuff like goro/kintaro/sheeva are definitely doable.

the main problem with the girl to guy shapes might look really weird, Goro is much bulkier than Sheeva, same with Sub Zero being frost.
You could easily pull off a Goro to Kintaro skin though, a Shang Tsung to Shinnok one and possibly a Shao Kahn to Kotal Kahn one, Jade/Kitana would easily work though. All those would be similar in size and movement styles.

Kintaro costume for Goro. He even has a variation where he shoots fireballs like Kintaro.

Yeah, gender swaps (or at least most) cannot be done with out re-animating the character. Frost would not look right using Sub-Zero's animations, Sheeva wouldn't look right using Goro's animations, and the same goes for pretty much any gender swap. Especially female characters getting costumes that make them look like male characters.

It might be because of the iOS render,but Kitana's Tournament Costume reminds me of Jade. They could easily come up with some green inspired outfit, change the skin color, and maybe even have the announcer say, "Jade," when you pick that coustume. Or, better yet, have Kitana's alternate costume color change her skin color and clothing color.
