Silly question... but who's this NPC meant to be?

From Shang Tsung's intro, who's the half naked Double Dragon reject street thug in 90s Oakleys and a Watch Dogs scarf? I've always kind of assumed it was possibly meant to be a Black Dragon member, since the costume is so exaggeratedly "street" and silly that surely it has to tie into some part of the canon (and they're the only ones I can connect it to), otherwise why not just have, say a stock Shaolin monk like in Skarlet's intro or a Tarkatan? Quite literally he looks too stupid to not have a reason to look so stupid!

So has this character been in anything else like a comic or story mode or something?

And if he's not, any ideas on who the hell's he meant to be because he seems far too much of an alleyway mugger to cross paths with the mighty Shang Tsung???

Welcome to Akihabara
We should name him...
Yeah with one of those shitty movie extra names lol. I watch movie credits just for that. Street punk 12 played by some nobody.

Always imagine the actor going for another job saying " oh and I also played street punk 12 in whatever cheap ass action movie it is.

Ah ok, figured as much, just been researching and guess he's based on this utter loser from MK9's challenge towers?

They both still look like lazy try-too-hards. Terrible character design, literally terrible.

Actually preferred MK Conquest's "they're all Ermac. All of them."

Does Mike have that arm tattoo in the shang intro? If so well done good sir. It could also just be NRS knew what was coming in 2020... Since he is running from an asian man for no reason (before he dies obviously) and wearing a face mask.

Mike was always known as a forward thinker.
