So far from first impressions I have to say that its a GREAT survival horror! Vatra has brought a dead genre of gaming back to life and I appreciate everything they did.

As a Silent Hill game it is ok so far. just got into town and I already noticed 2 things that were off in the gameplay, one of which is a certain enemy appeared in town that murphy shouldn't encounter till WAAAAY later. Ill leave it at tht. . Also from the get go I noticed some frame drops, frame rate problems, and etc. Hopefully this stuff will be fixed in an update.

You don't have to but tbh Phil in my eyes the only Silent Hill games that exist are SH1-4. Homecoming, origins, and shattered memories were trash.

I'm really looking forward to getting this when I get the chance after hearing all this.

Havent gotten that far yet and there are only 2 weapons. A gun and a shotgun apparently. Also ammo is scarce which im loving

lol well for a video game movie MK one and SH rocked I thought(the rest are pure ass though imo lol)

I only played Homecoming and the first one on the PSP. I liked them thought they were well done games.

This one is weird though, seems like the graphics could have been better, and the controllers are clunkier than I remember from Homecoming. Maybe I should pop that one in though as its been a while. Also, kinda disappointed they only have stereo audio, no dobly or dts.

I never thought of these games as survival horror though; just regular horror I guess, as you can just run away. More like someone falling deeper into a nightmare or something.

I also enjoyed the movie. I loved the atmosphere and it was a decent story, not like the typical garbage games to movie transistions.
