Sidestepping in MKG on the Dreamcast

i cant get it to work. they say tap one of the triggers twice, but it doesnt work, so i tried all sorts of different combinations. whats wrong?

The triggers suck...to be more specific, you tap Run twice to sidestep to the background and hold down and tap Run twice to sidestep to the foreground.

Unfortunately, the MK guys got lazy and didn't want to make this beast fully compatible with MK Gold, Everything works fine but i can only seem to get them to sidestep close and not out with it.

Its a great stick though and i could never go back to the controller.

i have two controllers though, and it doesnt work on either.

Either your run button is broken, or you aren't doing the move right. Those are the only two answers to your problem.
