Shangs EX Fireball Miss/Goes Over head

Shang's ex fireball often goes over his head or the 3rd fireball whiffs, can somebody help me prevent this?

if you mean in combos, it's just a timing/spacing error, which combo are you trying to do?

If you let us know the specific combo, it would help. There's a whole bunch of reasons this could be happening...
