It's a cosmetic fix, but as Robotic pointed out you can use the back-jets to help with timing certain combos. So it's a minor fix, but a fix none-the-less.

HAHAHAHA!!! me and my bros was laughing the whole time when i read this in the patch notes, i was hoping for the extra armor on extu, but when i read this i was like OMMMFFGGGG, haahahaha

I think it was an occasional visual glitch where the flames on his back would always be on. The usually turn on for a bit when you do moves like b21 and flame i think.
