Sabrewulf Ragged Edge ender bug

Hey guys.

I found a very strange bug with Sabrewulf which sometimes happens with his Fierce Ragged Edge ender.

The opponent is usually meant to be shot backwards when hit by the fierce Ragged Edge, in the corner it causes a wall splat, allowing Sabrewulf to keep the opponent grounded and unable to wakeup attack. From here, you can go for his Run into overhead/low, or his uppercut which is only -3, that catches out a fair amount of people trying to press buttons. But the important thing is they're still being controlled by you, rather than them being given wakeup options.

The bug that this video shows is what can occur when this move hits, sometimes Sabrewulf also gets sent backwards, removing any kind of momentum or space that you managed to control by ending the combo in that specific way.

The distance can vary, I have been sent completely fullscreen at times, and sometimes I don't get sent far at all.

Hopefully this gets hotfixed at some point, it would be a shame for something like this to occur when the stakes are high.

Recorded using the Xbox recording function, it was a more straight forward way to capture what was going on, as I wasn't recording or streaming.

Cheers!

Damn. That's pretty weird. Luckily there isn't too much stuff like this in the game as of yet, but more might get found as time goes on. It looks like it's reseting you to the position that you initiated the ender from (correct me if I'm wrong). Have you noticed a pattern with when this occurs, and does it happen often? I haven't played the game a ton yet, but I haven't had this issue occur at all playing with friends or anything. Still definitely bad as a rushdown character to have that kinda distance be created for no reason.

That's insane, never happened to me, you mind if I post this on the bug thread on Double Helix forums?

I think this is corner specific, it may also be space dependent.

I'll go into training and experiment with this bigtime, there has to be some specifics, but yeah, it's mad annoying when you finally corner someone.

Sure thing buddy, I was going to do it myself, but if you don't mind that would make my life easier :)

Just credit me if that's ok :)

Thanks!

So by corner specific, you mean you think it might only happens on certain stages? That would be weird, I didn't think there was a difference in any of the stage design outside of aesthetics.

Every time it's happened, I think I've been on a different stage.

Have you ever had eclipse ender whiff? I had it happen in a match against GGA MOE30W last night. Previously I've only seen it in training. It was a sabre mirror. Seemed like it was punishable but it caught is so off guard we don't know.

I haven't had that yet, didn't know that was a thing.

Hopefully it doesn't happen to me ever, makes me wonder if this sort of thing exists for anyone else..

I thought it was only a training mode bug previously, as I've gotten some weird ones. Just yesterday sadiras shadow linker could not combo in training until I restarted my xbox.

I'll see if I can reproduce the Eclipse bug when I get a chance

Guess bug finding will be a lot easier now you have the whole "Xbox Record that" command.
