This is likely one of those things where we don't believe it until the game is officially in our hands, but the United Kingdom Amazon website has a Mortal Kombat 9 "Game of the Year" edition coming to PC in June of this year. With little to no discussion coming from NetherRealm regarding this for quite some time... again, it makes this listing hard to believe. There is also no image of the supposed PC version.

The PC version is listed to be compatible with Windows & and XP.

I had no idea about this, if it does hit the UK on PC, I'll be snatching that up in a heartbeat for streaming.

That said, the website could have always made some kind of typo/error, guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'd buy that. Seems like a no brained too, of you build for Xbox porting should be trivial.

Mk on my surface tablet? That'd be sick.

Don't think so Boon said they weren't making a PC version... Then again he could have been trolling I'd pick it up tho.

This can't be real.

Because if there were a PC version in the works, there would HAVE to be a patch to accompany it.
It wouldn't make any sense not to pair one with the other.

I refuse to believe it. But I'd be excited.

No, don't you understand that with the PC version we can mod this shit and give it our own patches? (Most likely anyway...)
Didn't know about that maybe Boon going to confirm. But anyway even if we can mod things not everybody will play on with the same config so it wont be a patch that everybody will have anyway that's just my opinion.

Are ya' ready for MK11 kids?!
I assure you straight off the bat this won't materialize, NRS/Midway has been very vocal about publishing PC versions of MK games after the PC versions of Trilogy and MK4 were pirated to oblivion.

Also, why on earth why it be called "game of the year" 2 years later and the PS3/360 versions are already called "Komplete Edition"? Seems Amazon are just desperate for some traffic.

If they released this on PC it could honestly breathe new life in to our game after Injustice comes out. Mortal Kombat has always been my favorite fighting game franchise and I really don't want to see it die after Injustice comes out. We could spend as long as we need making custom patches until one surfaces that the majority of the community likes the best. In a way, we would all be contributing to make our own MK10. This could only be a good thing.

The lower ping and bandwidth could be so much better on a PC, consistent online would be great. Maybe they'll add ping numbers to the lobbies.

I remember seeing on SRK a video of what Ultras looked like up close without camera angles and this was done withthe PC version. Some like Bisons and Ryu's looked pretty sweet.

Always wanted to know what X Rays looked like without the close ups.

When the Komplete Edition was first announced I saw a couple of retailers calling it a GOTY Edition.

Amazon UK uses a different naming convention. Well Brits in general just name a bunch of things differently from us Americans so I wouldn't question that.

Amazon posting this by accident would be as weird as Walmart being wrong about what products are going to be in their inventory. They only prepare to put stuff up after a seller petitions them for it to happen.

It will be very interesting to see if PC MK9 becomes the definitive tournament version because of the impact on getting CRT level motion smoothness with 3D LCDs that use strobed backlights.
