They can just do an unused combination of buttons. The mid round win animations and babalities are basically taunts.
NRS games have too many buttons as is, and they are not getting rid of the stance switch, not ever.
I prefer SF3 taunts because they actually have purpose like Stamina Defense increase, Stun Defense Increase, Damage Increase, etc. It's like Quan Chi's Boost in MK9 but better.I love taunts, especially cancelable taunts.
Cancelable taunts are so god damn amazing.
The hilarious mind gaming it lets you do on some people.
Best feature of the SF4 series IMO
I'd be open to a character having a meter building taunt similar to Thor's in UMVC3.If there is, I hope it builds meter like in BlazBlue also there should be a Specfic taunt between Scorpion and Mileena where she brings out a teddy bear and tries to give Scorpion the Teddy. That thing they have between them is funny, I hope they continue the running gag with that.
Like this idea only issue I can see is spamming...but its easy to work around considering other options....What if stance switch just triggered a taunt speach
...why? Considering all the things Mortal Kombat is known for that give a player the ability to add insult to injury...what's wrong with a taunt?I think taunts are really dumb in FGs, unless you make them like an actual move(builds meter, cancelable etc.)
I thought in high level play that was called "buffering"I thought the taunt button was just down. You might have to hit it a few times to make it work.
Why wouldn't they get rid of it? I'm not up to speed on the stance switch thing and why its important. The mid round win animations and babalities are basically taunts.

I don't see the point. I don't really play online or mess around too much, so they aren't my kind of thing. I think it'd be better if you had to press three attack buttons like in SC, that way it doesnt take up an actual button and is less likely to be pressed on accident....why?
