Reasoning Behind OP Characters

Is it just me, or is everyone else sick of unfair/cheap/OP characters in games?

Why on Earth would NRS make characters like Deathstroke, Scorpion, and Superman, and NOT think that they are unfair and ruin the game. Aren't the developers of these games supposed to be first and foremost fans and gamers themselves?

It baffles me that this game, and games in general, can have such unbalance to them. These people are being paid good money to make games that fans can appreciate and enjoy playing, yet there are such obvious inbalances that could easily be fixed, yet they go unnoticed by the devlopers.

Did they really think that Deathstroke was going to be a fun character for casual gamers to play against when all someone playing Deathstroke has to do is spam a few moves over and over again? Are they really proud of what they have created?

Video games have come so far yet there are such obvious errors that devolopers just don't care about because all they care about is making money. We understand Batman and Superman are popular and draw people in, but you don't have to make their characters so ridiculously easy to play with that it breaks the game for everyone else.

Developers are nothing but egotistical assholes who could give two shits about the well being of the game they are creating.

To be polite and answer the OP, the reasoning is simple, actually.

DC characters in the comics make the FG counterparts look tame in comparison. IGAU was designed with the intent of everyone being broke as fuck.

I like to play bad characters
I find this an easy question to answer. Look at some of the other genre's of popular games. The most popular ones have cheap shit everywhere. Casuals, and even some so called competators, love anything even bordering OP because it allows them to perform beyond their actual skill level therefor allowing them to have fun by winning. There are few mainstream games made anymore that are truely for the hardcore or competative. The sooner you understand that the better off you'll be.
