A few days ago, news broke that Arc System Works and AkSys Gamers were adding a gargantuan $30,000 to the pot for the BlazBlue tournament at EVO 2014. Hot on the heels of that announcement, today Joey "Mr. Wizard" Cellular has revealed that Razer is donating a total of $10,000 to be added to the pot for Killer Instinct at EVO. With Capcom also adding $10,000 from their Pro Tour brand to the Ultra Street Fighter tournament, there's quite a bit of money to go around at this year's big dance -- and possibly higher stakes across the board than we've seen in quite some time.
Killer Instinct fans should be excited about this; and in conjunction with Iron Galaxy's newly christened second season of the game, some additional spotlight should be centered on KI this July.
With several of our community members having recently found themselves in Killer Instinct major Top 8's (including Dizzy, Sajam, Tyrant, MyGod, and Rico Suave) there's a chance that someone you know and love may be seeing a piece of Razer's cash infusion.
