When I was a kid, I was a short(still am) scrawny little nothing and I wanted to be just like him as a catcher. I worked my ass off and when I was 12 got selected to my region's williamsport team. We didn't advance out of our region's games, but it was an honor to be selected.
RIP Gary, thank you for all the memories, and for inspiring me to be the best catcher I could be as a kid.
