Safe Jump - In many cases, when an opponent jumps at you, you can knock them out of the air with an anti-air attack (think shoryuken in Street Fighter). A safe jump occurs when you jump toward an opponent at a time when they cannot use an anti-air attack. For example, after using an attack that makes the opponent stumble back, you can jump toward them and they can't use an anti-air attack because they're in the stumble animation. This is a safe jump.

Safe Anything - When an attack is considered "safe" it means that if the attack is blocked (or in some cases duck or avoided), the opponent does not get a guaranteed hit. For example, if you block Scorpion's teleport punch, you can hit Scorpion before he can block. However, if you block Scorpion's basic jab combo, he can block before you can attack with anything. This makes the basic jab combo safe.

Zoning - When you keep an opponent away from you using a combination of special attacks (usually projectiles) and movement (generally backing away). You're essentially keeping the opponent at the distance you want them at. Think of it as keeping the opponent out of your personal space.

Bread n Butter (bnb) - This is generally the go to combo for any character. It is the most commonly used and effective combo at high levels of play.

Breaking a Command Grab - Just another term for escaping (teching) a throw. In this case, a throw that is performed by a unique command instead of the generic throw command (Jax's Gotcha Grab).

Overhead - An attack that must be blocked from a standing position. If you are blocking while crouching, the attack will go through your guard.

Wake Up - This is the state you're in as you're getting up off of the ground after getting knocked down. A wake up attack is an attack performed in this situation.

Armor - Attacks that have armor can absorb one hit from an opponent. For example, Kabal's EX Spin has armor. This means that if you try to attack Kabal with a one-hit attack (a projectile for example), the EX Spin will go right through the attack and hit you.

Awesome man, this along with the thread Tom made has answered pretty much all of my questions, so I appreciate you taking the time!
