So we know all the basic stuff of the plot but apparently Kronika's motivation for fucking with the timeline is that things have shifted "too much to the side of good" after MKX. So to that I say

wait, what?

By the end of MKX if anything things are way more favouring the side of evil compared the the classic timeline what with Raiden wanting to invade outworld, and Netherrealm having concrete leaders. Classic timeline by now Raiden and the krew are happy, outworld just a bunch of squabbling warlords, deadly alliance tries and fails and that's about it.

Well technically all of the big bads from the MKU are gone in the new timeline. Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Shinnok, Onaga, Blaze, all of them are either dead or incapacitated somehow.
Raiden, Liu Kang, etc. may be corrupted, but Kronika might be considering that they, despite that, are inherently good, and that causes the imbalance.
Just my 2 cents really.
