Question about combos

Stop Zoning.
So I noticed today in practice that on GA his b3, j3, 33 stinger does 28 % damage, but how come f2d13 ice arrow b3, j3, 33 stinger only do 31% and sometimes 28% damage? And I've noticed similar things with other characters aswell, but why and how can we benefit from longer combos when it's put up like that?
 
It's called "damage scaling". What it does is scale the damage down depending on the moves you use on your opponent.

By FG common sense, specials that grant free combos, like Sinestro's Shackles and GA's Ice Arrow, have a lot of damage scaling to prevent them from being used to score easy high damage combos. Only certain characters are built for high damage combos, and GA is not one of them.
 
No problem! Yes, basic attacks scale, but not noticeably. Some basic attacks give more or less damage scaling, you kind of have to figure them out when making combos.
