ps3 + cable/wifi

hey all , i hooked up my PS3 to cable lately ( earlier i was using wifi) and i noticed that i cant connect with online lobby ... its on "connecting" screen. after many tries its always the same, switching back to wifi instantly fixes the problem. I have IP set to DMZ, so i doubt that is the problem. The PS3 is getting same IP with cable and wifi. Funny part is that some games work online with cable and MK not , for example i can play without problems in PES 2011 but i cannot connect to MK lobby. help

It wouldn't matter if your ps3 is in a dmz anyway. Does the problem go away if you connect directly to the modem rather than through a router? Assuming you have one at least.
