PS2 Controller Differences?

I was wondering what controller you guys are using because some controllers have "Made in Korea" on the back and some have "Made in China".
I've read some posts on other forum's stating that the Korean controllers feel more responsive than the ones from China.

I have one made in China. It was used when I bought it and it worked perfectly for about a year and a couple of months. But now it's dying.. buttons are loose and a bit unresponsive, and the d-pad is messing up.
God knows how old it is, though.
