Problems with reaction.

Are there ways to train this?, cause reacting to a hit or a block is kinda hard for me. Example: Sub Zero's 2, 2, 4 ~ Ice Clone on block or 2, 2 ~ Ice Ball, etc. on hit. I pretty much end up doing 2, 2, Ice Ball and getting punished for it cause I didn't react to that first 2 hits fast enough. Sometimes I just sit there blocking for 2 to 3 seconds waiting for my opponent to finish his string but when I go for it he grabs me or I miss a grab. It's just that I feel slow. This is a fast paced game. Should I just take an energy drink?

in my martial arts class i was shown a way to help with it

when your watching any thing like tv or youtube every time a scene change happens we would yell out a kiah if you dont want to look like a dumb ass you can simply snap your fingers or clap

if you have never done it try it once it will at least show you how offten a sene change happens lol

Interesting, I'll give it a shot.

Try and look at what your opponent is doing just before you hit them. Those extra split seconds help your determine whether they are going to block or not.

I'm not a top-tier player so I tend to err on the side of caution and assume i'm going to do 224 clone. If I confirm the hit I quickly input ice ball. If I mess up confirmation or they block I end with 4 clone. If I mess up I've only lost some damage on them instead of life on myself.

Input the string you want to hit/block confirm as fast as possible- it will give you a slight pause in witch you can confirm if string hit or was blocked.

In case of Subs 2,2~IceBall_4~clone, try to split the move on two phases
tap~tap - pause - follow up

The faster you input 2,2 the more time to add IceBall or 4~clone you'll have.

The trick with splitting the move on phases works fine for me.

Hey guys. All your tips worked pretty well. I'm noticing considerable improvements. No Red Bull required. Thank you all.
