PlayStation®Home is a social gaming network where gamers can meet friends and play games. From originals like the 50-level tank combat shooter Sodium One to immersive spaces packed with games and exclusive content, PlayStation®Home provides players with a rich and dynamic gaming experience only possible on the PlayStation®3.

PlayStation®Home is a lot like your home. At your house, you play games, watch TV and eat a variety of delicious cheesy chips. In PlayStation®Home, you join or launch multiplayer games with people across the country, experience exclusive full and arcade-style games you can’t play anywhere else, get extra mini-games for your favorite titles, create personalized online spaces, and set up game parameters just the way you want them for you and your friends. So, really, the difference is just in the cheesy chips.

The avatars, community features and immersive spaces make it easy and fun to chat with other gamers and play multiplayer games. PlayStation®Home is a home for gamers, so go ahead and make yourself comfortable.

Where you can create
Customize your world with virtual items and rewards

What good’s an avatar if you can’t make it look cool and give it a ridiculous place to live? Personalize your Home Space and avatar by unlocking virtual items from games like Uncharted 2: Among ThievesTM and God of War® and win rewards from mini-games only available in the Home universe. Or go the PlayStation®Home mall to collect items for PlayStation®’s most popular games.

Earn Rewards-
A trophy system taken to the next level. Unlock special content in PlayStation®Home from completing in-game tasks from such favorite PlayStation®3 games, such as White Knight Chronicles, Street Fighter® IV, and PixelJunk® Shooter.

Play Games-
Play over 100 free games in PlayStation®Home. From Texas Hold ‘Em to UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves™’s card battle game and the inFAMOUS Reaper Shock shooter, PlayStation®Home is the destination for gamers looking for something extra from their favorite games.

Attend Events-
There’s always at least one event going on in PlayStation®Home, no matter what day it is. Join us for our daily Featured Game parties and take part in online multiplayer matches from games like MAG and LittleBigPlanet™. And don’t forget the special launch events for your favorite PS3™ games, like Fat Princess, where you can win exclusive prizes and play games only available in PlayStation®Home.

PlayStation Home celebrates two years, outlines next year's additions

Man, it seems like only yesterday that we first stepped virtual foot into PlayStation Home, communicating with fellow PS3 owners using a complex system of gestures and gender morphing. In actuality, it's been two years since the platform launched, and according to a Sony press release, over 17 million users have visited its ghostly halls in that time. These users have participated in over 600 "community events," some of which were sponsored by other game developers and publishers, while some of which were hosted by us, such as our lightly-attended "Virtual Pizza Party/Singles Mixer 2009."

The presser also announced two games which will arrive on the platform next spring: Sodium 2, a follow-up to Outso's successful, Home-based competitve tank shooter, and Conspiracy, a multiplayer "Spy/Puzzle game" from Jet Set Games. You can check out a few screenshots from the latter of these two titles in the gallery below. We wonder if our own proclivity for sexual espionage will give us a leg up?
