Playable Secret Characters

do ya'll remember back in the day where if u do certain things u could select a secret character
for example, in one mk game if u landed a wining streak with everyone in the game starting from top left
and moving one by one to the right, u got to be meat

Has anyone tried any of those thangs in this game?

it wouldn't surprise me if that sort of stuff was possible, as this game was sort of a remake, even the kintaro morph maybe

Nope. Not me.

Achievements and the Web give away everything these days though.

The secret characters (to fight against) for example, aren't so secret just by checking an Achievment Site. In the past, how to find the secret fighters would have been something of speculation and chinese wispers. These days, just Google it.

Ed Boon even said as much, stating that there is no point trying to hide things in games these days, its just a futile excercise.

I think the focus (and rightly so) has been on making a solid game. Moving away from some of the gimmicks of the other games. Personally I feel MK9 is the most serious of all MK's and its paid of for them.
