Now I know that this is just a playable teaser that was very short and doesn't replicate what the actual game will be like but did anyone else play this and get the living shit scared out of them? While being that Mortal Kombat is my all time favorite video game franchise and being a huge fighting game genre fan myself, I absolutely love horror games.

Even after playing through series like Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, Silent Hill, Penumbra, etc this game is by far the only game where I legit had nightmares after playing and it might be one of the scariest games (teaser), that I have played despite how short it was.

So if you did play this game, what are your thoughts? If you haven't played it, DO IT! It is only available on PS4 for those of you who did not know.

To be honest it didn't scare me that much. Like there was some real fucked up stuff that didn't sit right with me, ie children screaming and the part where you have to listen to the decapitation. But for actual scares, it wasn't much. Girl shutting the door was good, her grabbing you didn't get me too bad, and her in the window was just like "Oh hey there nice to see you". Great teaser I expect the game itself will be amazing and will scare me shitless but the teaser was more just odd. Like it makes your stomach not feel right but it doesn't scare you. Just my take on it though.

I guess that is more of what I meant as well. While the jumpscares did get me it was just the overall atmosphere that made me feel uneasy and made me want to stop. It def felt like a Kojima game though.

Yeah I expect the final product to just mindfuck me lol. At least I hope so I haven't any good horror since Outlast.

i really like what they are doing with this game. the environment was amazing and it had some pretty intense moments. if they can maintain that feel throughout the actual game (where you can somewhat fight things) this could end up being one of my favorite games in the survival/horror genre.
side note: ive spent like 4 hours in the last loop, used walkthroughs, video guides etc. still couldn't beat it so I gave up and youtubed the ending. im not sure if there is a definite way to beat it, I think its random

This game scared the hell out of 4 of my friends and me. I'm not a lightweight with horror, I love horror and legitimately loved how for once a horror game actually made me scared. The atmosphere was great and it truly played mind games with you. The great things is that yes the game begins to get less scary the more you run through it, but you have to run through a few times, because I seem to find new things I missed every time I go through it. The woman in the window I didn't ever see until the 3rd or 4th time I played it as well as the talking head in the back in the starting room. The part that really got me though was when you turn the corner and there is a figure standing there and then it disappears once you step forward. I believe I stood there staring at the figure for a good couple of minutes before I said lets do this.

Although I loved this teaser, I just hope the actual game won't be in FP mode the whole time and I hope they don't hold themselves back like EA did when they made the later versions of Dead Space where they said its too scary and we have to tone it down.
