just basic things the game should have for online modes.
A lobby with a global chat box. Why was this even taken out for injustice.
A better way of seeing stats in the lobby. When you see a naming in the lobby it should have a ping bar and a skill rank with out having to click on it.
When you click on a name it should give you stats such as win/losses, average opponents rank, disconnect %, top 3 used characters. Game scores with last 3 opponents and their rank.
Ranking system based on your average opponents rank. Something simply like a letter grade.
Losing one match should not kill your rank.
Stats that reset every month.
Rank should drop for inactivity.
A ping bar that actually works.
A flash update on who are the top player in the room. Like a scrolling massage on the top of the screen
rank affecting matches should be best out of 5.
the over all idea is to quickly find good matches without going to a web site to find them. And to make people like me feel good with out leaving the house.
Instead of having quit in the start menu have forfeit.
On the rematch screen have game score with wins and losses.
For king of the hill
There need to be a way to set room sizes. Everyone know 8 player gets very laggy and can be a very long wait to play again.
A way to set privet slots. This way you can have room for your friends and still let randoms in if you want.
A quick way to see player stats while watching a match.
A chat box screen when watching a match.
A way for people to chat in chat box at character select screen.
The ability to kick players. Let face it new player don't want to play verse veterans and the same the other way around. And you won't have that one dial up scrub lagging up the whole room.
Add a option to add test your might and test your sight as koth min game after every 8 matches.
Recording of the last 10 matches. For personal viewing and study.
The option to add a few chosen matches into a universal play list so all can see in game.
A play list filter such as top rank vs top rank or characters to watch.
Make a new motor kombat game mode for online play
Message of the day should announce major tournament dates and location. And where to watch the streams. May not be doable with legal reasons but would be cool to see.
-Nice ideas. I agree on the KOTH size, personally I wouldn't mind if they cut it to 6. I mean honestly anything more than that is just a half hour wait, then you get booted and it's waste of time....
-I'd like a spectator mode(only) option to join KOTH waiting in line spot IF you're ready to play. This would be so cool. Say you're eating dinner but want to play, so to kill time you watch matches before you get involved/join the fray.
-Instant record option then if have a youtube account be able to transfer. Would just make life easier, also to do online tutorials with friends etc.
-Option to block or kick players in rooms you create. Like UMK3, I felt this was helpful against the haters, trolls and psychos out there.
-I know this will never happen but if someone sends you nasty hatemail that's deemed "rude, spam, racist whatever" there should be an option to auto block them meaning if you're already in a room, they join they cant join and automatically get booted due to you reporting them with Xbox having some sort of proof read system showing they sent you something nasty and you want no part of them. Because let's face it that whole "report player, avoid playing don't play/bad feedback option" is utterly fucking useless unless it actually does what I just explained.
-In game streaming option, I know we have twitch but not everyone uses it. How neat would it be if NRS itself had their own built in game streaming option(with recording up to a certain point) if you take up space though in game bar slot at some point you must delete for more room. Think of it like one of those portable HD camcorders flip that have like few hours built in, but once you reach a point you have to transfer and delete past vids for more room kind of thing.
-Of course improved netcode.
-Option to block certain regions or countries in a custom room. To me this is CRUCIAL for solid connections, even the best games with better netcodes lag with this. I don't want to join a room or make a room that has people from Mexico, Brazil, UK, Canada or Netherlands joining lol. Not for nothing, but it's so obvious playing players from these countries lags bigtime. I want to play Mortal Kombat, not Lag advantage Kombat. They need a region lock setting seriously so that I can only play American players. Of course have this universal or can take lock off so if you're from Mexico or Chile and only want to play South America you have that option too. Don't get me wrong, love the no region lock for Xbox(unlike PS has with lock) if I want to play a good friend from Russia lol or something but more times than not, I want to play people preferably in my own region where I know the connection will at least be playable.
-Since I doubt they'll bring back Respect Points, and theatre mode where you can do things while waiting in line. Introduce something new like I dont know awarding koins to players or betting, similar to Injustice but different. Guess the winner or something. But not just that, one idea I had since MK 9 though since the KOTH kept players busy if they wanted with cheering etc. I'd love to see a mode say you're in a KOTH mode where there's 4-8 people. As long as there's an even number this can work called "mini game mode" where the players waiting in line can fight against each other in a mini game of some sort, you'd have a mini challenge icon pop up from another waiting player (say I dont know like MK pong or something lol or a puzzle game or mini racing game etc) with mk characters lol. How cool would that be? It ends automatically once the match is over. Just to help kill time if you dont want to just watch and chill for a bit.
-I've said this before as well but have a new mode online from 4-6 players say two play against each other in standard MK match. However, during this 2 other players are in the background doing something to distract or harm them(while at the same time competing against one another themselves for points) Say similar to MK9 challenge tower where those matches had people on the pit in the background lin kuei freezing you with ice balls, hurting you. Something like this
where your mission is to nail one of the two fighters a bunch of times say 10 times first or something so you're effecting not only the fighters in the match but you're competing against the other guy trying to do the same on the other side of the pit/background. Maybe have the last 2 of players do something as well that effects the overall match lol. Like random dark kombat, big tomato blocking most of the screen for like 10 seconds(think Mario Kart squid ink block) something like that.
-Also possibly for a 4 to 6 player mode(max) called Endurance Klassic mode! Where this is online only mode or something(maybe offline up to 4 max obviously) but more up to 3 on 3/6 online exclusively where it's like UMK3 Endurance, for those who dont know this was a mode and ladder match during arcade mode. It's different than tag because A. no tagging in or out. B. No tag combination combos and C. Sooner or later ONE team has to win, so it could wind up having one guy potentially taking on 3 players which would be tough if you have a bunch of good players in there.
-Online Tournament mode of some sort, having anywhere from 4, 6, 8 to 10 to 16 players max . Could go more but let's face it between people not showing up by certain times, people rage quitting etc I can see the more slots getting a bit messy at times. Max it out at 10, chances are more serious players will do it anyway or if you want make it private so only you and your friends can do it. Have the option to stretch it out over a period of a few days up to a deadline date OR "play through mode" meaning you start a tourney you finish it that same night, none of that stretch it out over 3 days nonsense. This option may be better with 8 players max smaller number to ensure players will actually commit to finish in one setting. NOTE: also should be something in place say you join 10 tournaments and quit on ALL of them be it middle of it or rage, you should be banned from entering this mode for a certain period of time.
-Some kind of Good vs. Evil mode, where it's similar to KOTH but maxs out 8. 4 vs. 4 or 3 vs. 3 or 2 vs. 2 options. Not tag team style however, but more of a tournament setting some what where one team are good guys, the other team are bad guys. Then this goes in the worldwide totals favoring say good over evil 10,000 total matches with say 8,000 wins for good guys and 2,000 wins for evil guys. I know some predict this may be similar to whatever NRS is cooking up with their massive new online mode never done before in a fighting game, who knows. I hope so.
-Automatically lose if you rage quit, no exceptions, no matter the mode be it ranked one one or any other mode. I know for the most part this was the case in MK 9(on xbox at least I've noticed) if someone rages on me I get the win. But they should also get the lose as that's a forfeit clearly.
-I agree that losing even a few matches should not tarnish your rank/TS. So dumb, if you win 100 matches out of 120 let's say then lose 5 straight you should gain more than lose(unless you're playing a nooby 0-0 record something ridiculous) but otherwise if you're playing someone with a winning record over .500 record, you should go up not down.
-Modified slot option in rooms also what you said, like UMK3 again and many other games ability to kick people out yet invite or still allow others to join.
-An option as also covered like Injustice where you can easily see other players stats, and preferably who they win with the most and get this something new, LOSE against the most. I'm sure some players may not like that but hey, why not show all overall stats? lol
-Some kind of 4 player mode, I know they said doubtful tag will return but if it doesn't have some kind of 4 player mode on and offline with options for teams or free for all.
-Possibly online MK challenges like Injustice but can do without this honestly.
