I don't actually play these games
So I wanted to hear thought on something I haven't seen to much discussion on. Or if we have I haven't seen it.

Projectiles in MK, unlike a lot of other 2d games generally don't interact and pass through each other. It was something ed Boon liked because reportedly he didn't like "fireball wars".

So as likened with the block button threads, what's the opinion on this particular mechanic. DO you rike it? Do hate it? Apathetic? Giddy?

  1. I know there are some exceptions to the rule.
  2. MKX might have some interacting projectiles. At least clone interacts with them.

In MKX it looks like EX fireballs eat regular fireballs in their way. At least Sub-Zero's EX Iceball does.

I prefer the old mechanic (to all fireballs trading), especially because some fireballs are like twice quicker than other fireballs (Sonya vs Noob or Subby for example)

Really likes to throw things at you.
I like the idea of EX projectiles crushing regular projectiles. Adds to the meta and helps characters deal with heavy zoners.

I do not like the idea of clashing projectiles or fireball wars.
